Judging

Don is qualified to judge Toys, Terriers, Gundogs & Hounds and Working Dogs at Championship level and has judged in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Sweden, South Africa & England.

May 4th, 2008 - On this, Don's second judging trip to Japan, he was privileged to judge Papillons, Sight Hounds, Spaniels and Retrievers at a Championship show held in Tokyo during their National Golden Week.

The Papillon entry was the top entry of the show and his Best Bitch went on to be awarded Queen of the Companion Group under Japanese Judge Mr Ken Nishimura.  In the show finals under General Specials judge Mrs Lesley Chalmers from New Zealand, she was awarded Reserve Queen of Show.  Best male and best female are half brother and sister.

October 2007 -  Don was in South Africa at the Sasolburg Kennel Club where he judged the Terrier Group.   He is pictured below with his Best Terrier.

While in South Africa he also judged the Chihuahua Club of South Africa Specialty Championship Show.  His Best in Show winner is pictured below.

In June 2006 Don judged at the Uppsala Kennel Club near Stockholm.  In the Terrier Group he put as his Group 1st the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier.

At Uppsala he also judged Papillons, Phalenes, Japanese Chins & Toy Group Specials.   He selected as his Group winner the Papillon pictured below -

In September 2004 it was Don's great pleasure to be invited to judge the Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Club of England's Open Show where he had a wonderful entry of 201.
